Where to watch football at Southern California casinos during the pandemic

Not much has been normal about life in Southern California since mid-March because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, but one thing that arrived as scheduled is football season.

While many fans probably won’t be able to see their favorite teams in person this year, they can still watch the games on TV. For those who want to beat pandemic-induced cabin fever and see a game anywhere else than home, Southern California’s casinos are an option.

Many of the casinos are showing the games on their gaming floors and in their various venues, but things are a little different this year. All of the casinos require face masks for entry and ask guests to social distance. Many have also reduced capacity and seating in places where they typically show the games.

Here’s a list of some of the casinos that are showing NFL games in Southern California as well as some information on what you should expect before you visit.

Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage

32250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage. 888-999-1995, aguacalientecasinos.com.

The Rancho Mirage resort shows football games at sports bar 360 Sports, Waters Café and Pivat Cigar Lounge starting at 10 a.m. each Sunday, according to an email from Media and Community Relations Manager Dawn Petrick.

Each of the locations has contactless menus where guests can scan a QR code to view menu items.

Those spots don’t take reservations, but seating is available on a first come, first served basis and there’s an eight person maximum per table.
